NEUROTOXINS (e.g., Botox, Dysport, Xeomin):

Q: What can I expect from a Neurotoxin treatment?

A: Neurotoxin treatments can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by temporarily relaxing facial muscles. Expect smoother, youthful-looking skin within a few days, with results lasting for several months (3-6 months).

Q: How should I prepare for a Neurotoxin treatment?

A: Avoid alcohol and anti-inflammatory medications for a few days prior. Consult with your provider for personalized instructions.

Q: What should I avoid after a Neurotoxin treatment?

 

A: Avoid strenuous exercise, excessive sun exposure, and facial massages for 24 hours after the treatment. Avoid touching or laying down 5 hours after treatment.

 

"Setting" of a Neurotoxin can onset as early as 4 days depending on toxin being used to 2 week onset. Toxin "Setting" onset may start at one treated area sooner then another. This will level out. Follow ups will address any further touch ups.

DERMAL FILLERS(e.g., Juvederm, Restylane):

Q: What are the expectations with Dermal Filler?

 

A: Dermal fillers add volume and smooth out wrinkles. Expect immediate results, which can last several months to a year, depending on the product used.

Q: How can I prepare for a Dermal Filler treatment?

 

A: Discuss any allergies or medical conditions with your provider. Avoid blood-thinning medications and alcohol before your appointment.

Q: What should I do after a Dermal Filler treatment?

 

A: Avoid excessive sun exposure, strenuous exercise, and facial massages for a few days. Follow your provider's post-care instructions.

ACID PEEL(e.g., The Perfect Derma Peel):

Q: What can I expect from a Derma Peel?

 

A: Derma Peels exfoliate the skin, improving texture and tone. Expect some redness and peeling initially, followed by smoother, rejuvenated skin. 

Q: How should I prepare for a Derma Peel?

 

A: Avoid sun exposure, waxing, and certain skincare products before the treatment such as retinols and most acne products. Your provider will provide detailed instructions.

Q: What should I do after a Derma Peel?

 

A: Post-treatment, avoid sun exposure and use gentle skincare products recommended by your provider.

 

Peeling can start on 3rd day and continue out to 10 days, this may vary.  Gently massage do not try and peel off to early. Stay moisturized. 

PDO THREADING:

Q: What are the expectations with PDO Thread treatments?

 

A: PDO Threads lift and tighten sagging skin. Expect immediate lift, with improved results over several months as collagen production increases. 

Q: How should I prepare for a PDO Thread treatment?

 

A: Discuss any allergies or medications with your provider. Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications before the treatment.

Q: What should I do after a PDO Thread treatment?

 

A: Avoid Direct Heat, RF, Laser, IPL treatment for 4 weeks. AVOID excessive chewing, talking, yawning, smiling, and other facial movements of the treated area(s) for 1 week. You might occasionally feel a small pop to the area. That is OK, the thread is still setting in and it won't cause any drop of facial structures.

MORPHEUS 8:

Q: What can I expect from Morpheus 8 treatments?

 

A: Morpheus 8 is a microneedling and radiofrequency device that tightens and rejuvenates skin. Expect smoother, tighter skin with reduced wrinkles.

Q: How should I prepare for a Morpheus 8 treatment?

 

A: Consult with your provider for personalized pre-treatment instructions, which may include avoiding certain skincare products. Come in early for topical numbing. 

Q: What should I avoid after a Morpheus 8 treatment?

 

A: Protect your skin from sun exposure. Avoid hot baths and showers for 48 hours to limit skin irritation. You should also avoid exfoliating for at least 10 days after your treatment. Use gentle skincare products.

LUMECCA & LUTRONIC:

Q: What can I expect from a Lumecca & Lutronic treatment?

 

A: Lumecca is an IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatment that targets sun damage and vascular lesions. Expect reduced pigmentation and clearer skin. Lutronic is a Thulium laser, which is a low-downtime laser that resurfaces the skin, giving it a brighter tone and improved texture. 

Q: How should I prepare for a IPL treatment?

 

A: Avoid sun exposure and tanning products before the treatment. Discontinue Retinols and most acne topicals.

Q: What should I avoid after a IPL treatment?

 

A: Protect your skin from sun exposure. Avoid hot baths and showers for 48 hours to limit skin irritation. You should also avoid exfoliating for at least 10 days after your treatment. Use gentle skincare products and SPF.

DIOLAZE:

Q: What can I expect from a Diolaze treatment?

 

A: Diolaze is a laser hair removal treatment. Expect reduced hair growth in treated areas.

Q: How should I prepare for a Diolaze treatment?

 

A: Shave the treatment area before your session, and avoid sun exposure and tanning products.

Q: What should I avoid after a Diolaze treatment?

 

A: Protect your skin from sun exposure. Avoid hot baths and showers for 48 hours to limit skin irritation. You should also avoid exfoliating for at least 10 days after your treatment. Avoid make-up on the treated area for at least 48 hours. Avoid the application of perfumed products or bleaching creams for 48 hours.

Q: What can I expect from a Microneedling treatment?

 

A: Microneedling stimulates collagen production, improving skin texture and reducing scars. Expect improved skin quality with minimal downtime.

Q: How should I prepare for a Microneedling treatment?

 

A: Avoid sun exposure before the treatment. Discontinue Retinols and most acne topicals.

Q: What should I avoid after a Microneedling treatment?

 

A: Avoid strenuous exercise, excessive sun exposure for 24 hours after the treatment. Avoid hot showers for 2 days. Gently cleanse and moisturize over the next few days. Avoid scrubbing, rubbing, or using exfoliants for 1 week. Use gentle products and SPF.
